When dj said “i dunno, autism” does he actually have autism? Or was he using that as a joke? Because I am autistic and do not find jokes like that funny. They are insulting and offensive. Please do not make jokes like that. Autism is something that many people do not completely understand, and that is why so many stereotypes exist about it and why many people are unintentionally very hurtful and are unintentionally being ableist or saying ableist things. Please research autism (and other things to do with neurodiversity) and try to understand it and its history (and the history of ableism) before you make comments on it, especially ones like that. They can be very hurtful and offensive to people who are actually in those communities. Einstein was autistic, dyslexic, and couldn’t talk ‘till he was 4, and he changed our understanding of the universe as we know it. He couldn’t have done the things he did, if he wasn’t nuerodivergent/autistic. Many other famous and successful people are/were also nuerodivergent (I recommend looking it up, it’s really cool to learn about their experiences). (If I misread the situation and dj is autistic, then that’s awesome, and I’m happy to know of another awesome and successful nuerodivergent person like me!)
